American Roulette

ABOUT

The American online Roulette game bears many similarities to European and French Roulette, with only a handful of rule differences. Players make bets on different outcomes such as number spreads, pocket color and even if the landed number will be odd or even.

A croupier - or dealer - handles all of the in-game action and operates the roulette wheel. To begin a round, the croupier will spin the wheel one direction and then roll a ball into the wheel in the opposite direction. When the ball comes to a stop, it will land in one of 37 possible numbered and colored pockets, ranging from numbers 0-36.

HOW TO PLAY

American Roulette, like most other forms of online Roulette, can be picked up by any player quickly. There are three standard bet types to understand. Once a player has those down, it will be much easier to understand the more complex wager types. Here is an explanation of the three basic bet types:

Numbered Bet: Wager on what individual number or number range the ball will fall into.
Color Bet: Wager on whether the ball will fall on a red or black number.
Odd or Even Bet: Wager on whether the ball will fall on an odd or even number.

Outside of the three standard Roulette bet types, there are additional wager subcategories known as inside bets and outside Bets. Here is a breakdown of inside and outside bets:
Inside Bet: Single number, split, street, corner, five-number, double street
Outside Bet: Red or black, odd or even, 1 through 18, 19 through 36, dozens, columns

Special features include:

Racetrack Bets

Players can place bets on the numbers that sit directly across from a particular number on the wheel. This is known as a neighbor bet. For instance, placing a neighbor bet on the number 12 would additionally cover numbers 28 and 35, both of which neighbor 12 on the wheel. Players may put neighbor bets on up to five numbers at a time - the five numbers adjacent to a number on the right and left sides.

To place a neighbor bet:
