ABOUT

Welcome to Vegas, the home of neon lights, clattering coins and casinos, and a great place to try your hand at poker. This is Jacks or Better, otherwise known as Draw Poker, and it’s one of the purest and most popular forms of poker.

What’s more, this video poker game perfectly blends the excitement and tension of the casino floor with the comfort of your own home, making it one of the very best ways to experience a card game of any kind – and particularly one in which the chances to win are so lucrative. So, come on in, pull up a seat and prepare to play poker.

HOW TO PLAY

Jacks or Better comprises a 52-card deck, which can be played in 3, 5, 10, or 50 hands at any one time, and with a stake of between 1-5 coins. When you’re happy with your stakes and the number of hands being played, it’s time to press DEAL. As the video poker game begins, so do your chances to win. Choose whether to HOLD any of your 5 base cards back in the hopes of securing a winning combination. If, after the draw, you have one or more of the poker hands displayed on the awards section of the paytable, you will win the appropriate prize for that hand. If it sounds simple, that’s because it is. And so much fun, too!

To make life just that little bit simpler for players, Jacks or Better includes a feature that will allow you to automatically hold onto any of the cards that will make up a winning hand; that’s perfect if you’re worried about missing a beat, or concerned by all of the new features you’re just getting to grips with. Winning Hands

Regardless of whether you’re an accomplished poker player or a skilled video gamer, winning a hand of Jacks or Better could be as much up to luck as your penchant for video poker playing. Here are a few of those winning hands:

  • Royal Flush: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10s of the same suit
  • Straight Flush: Five cards of the same suit in a sequence
  • Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank
  • Full House: Three matching cards of the same rank, and two matching cards of another
  • Flush: Five cards of the same suit
  • Straight: Five consecutive cards of mixed suits
  • Three of a Kind: Three matching cards of the same rank
  • Two Pair: Two matching cards of the same rank and a second matching pair from another
  • Jacks or Better: A hand featuring a pair of Jacks

Gamble Win Bonus Feature

For every winning hand you achieve you will be given the chance to select GAMBLE WIN, a button that lights up at the right points during the game. It’s important to note that you can still collect any winnings prior to gambling, even if you’ve already selected the button, while your most recent winnings will be deducted from this round and updated if you achieve success in the gamble round.

During this bonus gamble feature, players are given six chances to guess the colour or suit of the next card to be drawn, although only one bet may be placed at a time. Once you have placed your bet, the card will be turned over and revealed; a correct guess regarding the card’s colour will immediately double your winnings, while identifying the card’s suit will quadruple your prize fund. Be warned: if you guess incorrectly the bonus game will end and your winnings returned to £0. Think carefully enough about each of those cards, and you could be in for a jackpot win.
